A PET’S TEN COMMANDMENTS

‘Maxines’s mom send this to me and thought it would be a great post on the site.’

My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
Give me time to understand what you want of me.
Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
Don’t be angry with me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
Talk to me. Even if I don’t understand your words, I do understand your voice, when speaking to me.
Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
Before you scold me for being lazy, or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or, my heart might be getting old, or weak.
Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please.
Never say you can’t bear to watch. Don’t make me
face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are
there, because I love you so.

My Friend Winston

Winston is a Chocolate Labrador about my age (16 months). I remember when I first met Winston, we use to always wrestle and play fight. Most times you will catch Winston playing with his twin River (another Chocolate Lab). He also enjoys playing with his soccer ball. Watch him in action…

My Girl Friend Lilly

Meet Lilly. A six month old Shepherd Collie. I’m not sure if she is my girl friend. All I know is that she is obsessed with me. I don’t blame her, I mean check me out. I’m strong, confident and fun. Braff-Rhaff! Most times I like her and enjoy spending time with her, but sometimes she’s too clingy.

R.I.P. Cooper: We Miss You

We are sad to say goodbye to Cooper Reid. The one and only Rottweiler and pack leader of the NMC Weekend Dog Group. Cooper was diagnose with cancer and on Saturday August 8, 2009, he spent his last Saturday morning at the NMC field, to say goodbye to his furry friends and human companions.

Cooper was known for his friendly and confident nature. The six year old Rottweiler who likes to police and makes sure that everyone in the park is playing safe. He also loves to play fetch and always has a smile on his face.

Our hearts and prayers goes out to Cooper’s Mom and family. We know he is in a better place. We miss you Cooper!
