About

babyjr13My name is Jack Russell, but my dad calls me Russell, unless he is really upset with me then he will call me ‘Jack Russell’. Some of my friends also know me as J.R. This is my blog, a blog about my life, my family and friends. A blog that documents my journey in this world, a world that I truly love living in.

If you haven’t figured it out, I am a Jack Russell Terrier, a working dog bred to bolt foxes from their dens during hunts. I can also dig burrows and stay in there until the vermin’s are out. Besides my natural instincts as a working terrier, I am a big dog in a small body. The saying is true for me that big things do come in small packages.

I am full of energy and life. Sometimes this bothers my dad when he comes home from work and he just wants to relax, but I can’t help it. I need to run, play, work, play, run, and chase. I know I can be a handful at times, but I also love to entertain and make my owner laugh and he enjoys this side of my personality. I’m also pretty good at listening and a quick learner when it comes to doing tricks. Sometimes, I am soooo smart that I like to test my dad. Don’t tell him this, but I sometimes make him say commands at least three times before I listen to them. Bwahahaha…Who’s the alpha male now.

Speaking of my dad, there he is right now, his name is CK. He is pretty cool, but sometimes he can be grouchy and lazy. But that’s because he works hard, making sure that he provides a good life for me and my sister. (Yes, I have a sister. I’ll talk about her in a minute). He brought me home on August 15th; I was born on May 17th, 2008 from a litter of six puppies. Both my biological parents are pure Jack Russell Terriers.

As mentioned earlier, I have a sister. There she is right now. Yes, I know, how embarrassing. She’s a cat! She is a five year old tabby named Nemo. She was not pleased when I came home on that summer day in August. She was curious and so was I. I tried to play with her a few times, but she wasn’t having it. Man, she’s got some sharp claws. She was not happy at the fact that I have been getting all the attention lately. After a few months of living together, she is finally getting use to me, as long as I don’t try to lick her, chase her, snap at her or eat her food, then we are cool. OH and I warn you all, don’t call her a fat cat. She is sensitive about her weight.

So, that’s just a little something about me and my family. Make sure you keep coming back to my blog and get to know some of my friends. I’ll also have contributors on here, like my owner and maybe, if I want, I’ll ask my sister for her input on things.

Thanks for the comments. J.R. and I would love to meet Cena and Abby. You should bring them by on the weekends at the NMC Dog Park.

  3. JR,

Are you OK? Heard that you hurt yourself (dew claw or so I was told) this morning before Mom and me arrived at Puppy Park. Let us know how you are… please!
