So This Is Christmas

whooofff Santa, I was a good dog all year long… Please bring me a box of my favorite toy! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Dude, Where’s My Toy?

Whooff! I’ll be the first to admit that I get spoiled with toys. CK gets me a new one every other week, that’s because they are so yummy…Mmmm…gotta’ love rubber…

I’ve gone through different types of toys, everything from stuffed animals, teething toys, fetch toys or chew toys. Recently, one of my favorite toys is the Tug and Floss, which is fun for playing tug-o-war with CK, although I always end up winning. Bwaaff Haaff.

I’ve also have gotten a Kong, those are tough. I could never eat it all in one day. I also love it when CK puts a treat inside, it makes it more challenging. But my all time favorite toys are the ones that CK chases me for. He must really love them too.

I don’t really know what they’re called. Sometimes I find them around the house, sometimes they smell so fresh and so clean and sometimes they smell funky. Sometimes I find black ones or white ones, long and short ones. Whenever I have them, CK seems to chase me around for it, which is fun. Maybe, it’s his favorite toy too. But he usually has them on his feet. Grrrfff. I never did get that.

One day, while I was bored with the Kong and Tug-N-Floss, I began looking for my favorite toy. I looked in the bathroom where CK sometimes would leave them or on his bed, but it wasn’t there. I went into Nemo’s room (cat) but they weren’t there either. Then I looked in the laundry room and found a basket; something was hanging out of it that looked like my favorite toy. So I sniffed to get a closer scent and BINGO! I found my favorite toy, so I grab it and ran. Of course, as soon as CK saw it he chased after me. After a few minutes he took it away from me and hid it again. I’m like, Dude, where’s my toy?

Great Balls of Fire

Grrooff Everyone!

Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately. I’ve been feeling down for the last few days now… The other day CK took me to see Dr. S. My veterinarian. Usually, I love to visit the hospital because I get to say hi to all the people and bump into some of my friends. But this time around was a little different. I don’t remember much of the day, the last time I saw Dr. S. I got a few shots and then I looked like this…

I don’t’ know what happened, all I knew was that my face was itchy and puffy. I didn’t mind it, I went back to see Dr. S right away and she gave me another shot and felt all better within the hour. But this time, this time I was not happy at all. Something wasn’t right.

CK dropped me off first thing in the morning. All I remember was that Dr. S gave me a shot and next think you know I woke up in a kennel, all dopey eyed and buzz. CK picked me up near the end of the day and we went home, still I was not feeling right. The fat cat actually said hi to me when we got home, but I wasn’t interested in chasing her. As the evening progressed, I began to feel an itchy sensation down there. So I went to look and began to lick and lick, and than it I saw it. Actually, it’s what I didn’t see is what almost gave me a heart attack! My jewels were gone! My manhood snipped and cut off, my prize possession no longer to be found. I was devastated and heartbroken.

Maybe, when I am brave enough and past the embarrassment, I’ll post pictures of before and after. Until then, I am still recovering from a painful and traumatic experience.

My Big Fat Greek Sister

Grrrrrfff! Wide load incoming!!! Bwaaff-haaff

Remember in my about page, I slightly mentioned my big fat sister, well she’s not really Greek and we are not technically blood related. C’mon, look at how muscular and fit I am compared to her. Oh and did I mention that she’s a cat?!! Sure she is about five years older than me, yeah she can run pretty fast, and jump really high, and has the sharpest claws I’ve ever come across, but it doesn’t take anything away from the fact that she’s still a FAT CAT!

What does she expect, she’s lazy. All she does is sleep and eat. Whenever I try to get her moving by chasing her, licking her ears, or snapping at her she gets upset and brings the claws out. I’m just a happy guy, trying to help her out by playing with her so she can lose all that weight.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Wooff! CK and I went to the dog park again today. It’s the coolest hangout where my friends and I, can be ourselves. A hang out where Frisbee’s and balls are flying left and right. Where you can get some free treats, meet new friends and of course impress some of the ladies like Natela, Bella, and Iggy…Grrooff!

Speaking of the ladies, there’s me right there ready to put my game on with Sophie, Bailey, Natela, and Bella…There is something very attractive about bigger dogs, maybe it’s the challenge that gets me going. My game play didn’t go very well, I guess all four of them were barking about how I’m such a player, and decided to take off when I got closer! Oh well, one of these days I’ll get lucky, if not with any of those four than maybe with Iggy!

There’s one of my best friends Winston, a chocolate Labrador, he’s about my age. I love to tease this guy, make him chase me around, snap at his face while he tries to pin me down; I say trying cause the guy is too slow for me. Bwaff haaff-haaff! But in this picture he’s got me on a sleeper hold, usually he’s the one on the ground, I’m the stronger and faster dog, but I was just having an off day.

The dog park is also a great place where CK and I can spend some quality time together. Today, he brought my own ball to play fetch, so I wouldn’t have to keep stealing Sandy’s pink ball. All the other people also bring toys for their dogs; sometimes they’ll bring extra toys or treats for everyone. I love the dog park and this dog park is awesome, everyone seems to know your name.

Finally, A Walk To Remember!

Whooff! Ever since the cold white stuff showed up on the ground, stepping outside with CK became more of a quick bathroom break. It wasn’t that long ago, when the sun would wake up early and go to sleep late at night, when I would hear the birds annoyingly sing their tunes, and when I would see chipmunks staring at me begging me to chase them. It was then, that CK and I would go for long walks.

I love my walks, sniffing the ground, grass and every ant that passed by. I love running and jumping up and down, to say hello to every human I see. I love to stop and admire the poles and red stumps (I think CK calls them fire hydrants) on every block.

Sometimes, when CK is up for the challenge we would go for a long run. I would have a stick in my mouth, pretending it’s a rabbit that I just caught and we would run, but stop often because CK needs to catch his breath. Bwafff…, what a wimp!

I missed those times, at first when the white stuff began to show up on the ground, I was curious and excited, I sniffed and licked, sniff, sniff, lick, lick — oh wait, bathroom break — then continue to lick and sniff the white stuff, which tasted pretty good. I was thrilled that this was something different, but I noticed that I was getting cold and so was CK. I didn’t mind the cold weather, as long as I had my sweater, but I think CK did, and each day our walks turned into a quick one.

So on this evening, CK and I finally decided to go for a long walk, and boy, was he in for it. I yanked and pulled and was leading the walk and going everywhere I wanted to go. I took every opportunity to stop, sniff and lick. What did he expect, I’m a Jack Russell Terrier, I need my exercise, running around the house, playing tug of war or chasing my sister Nemo is not enough. Doesn’t he realize that I am a big growing boy! We dogs, take our walks seriously, it’s sacred to us. Our ancestors have been doing it for thousands of years. It’s in our blood to carry this tradition.

When the walk finally ended, and we got back in the house getting ready for bed, CK sat on the couch and looked at me. He started talking but I can never understand what he says, but I can feel his energy and I sense that he was not happy by the way I behaved during our walk, the walk that we both used to enjoy.

I sat beside him and rested my head on his lap to give him some love to thank him for the walk. He looked at me and smiled with his eyes and returned the love back by petting me on the head. He started to talk to me again, but his bark didn’t make sense. Instead, I felt his energy saying that he was sorry for not going on walks more often with me. I accepted his apology as I gave him a lick on the face. I think after tonight we will begin going on longer walks again!
